About The Role
We are looking for a Media Relations Manager who is to tell the stories of the innovative work at Plaqad. You will be charged with providing both strategic and hands‐on tactical execution of media and client relations initiatives through communications, advocacy and media partnerships. The Media Relations Manager should be a self-starter and proven team player with a can-do attitude. This role requires someone who is relentlessly curious, resourceful with an entrepreneurial spirit, a motivating leader and team member with excellent communications skills to deliver impactful coverage for users.

What you will be doing…
- Partnering closely with CEO and Executive Leadership Team providing advice on commercial strategy, new markets and customer service optimization.
- To act as lead “client-care officer” through direct contact with clients and partners (Community, Media, Brand, etc.) establishing an ongoing relationship with all stakeholders;
- Initiating development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes including new PR models and in areas like product thinking and advocacy;
- Work closely with other stakeholders to provide analytics on Plaqads’ brand and competition by ensuring the delivery of quarterly reports, developing effective Online Relationship Management (ORM) for customers and producing data-driven insights;
- Providing community management for and on behalf of Plaqad.
- Develop and deploy content and strategies that shape the perception of Plaqad in line with the business objectives.
- Ensure early detection and mitigation of potential situations that could lead to a crisis; and management of public perception towards preservation of Plaqad’s reputation and reputation of brands of clients;
- Drive the development of a crisis response strategy to serve Plaqad’s brand on an ongoing basis and specific crisis communication plans for individual events, engagement and activations that ensure Plaqad’s viewpoints gain empathy and acceptance;
- Create a crisis management plan that includes making decisions ahead of time, including identification of issue owners who will handle specific aspects of a crisis, if and when it occurs;
- Develop strategic communications plans focused on creation and distribution of valuable, relevant, and consistent content materials to attract and retain clearly defined audience groups amongst consumers of Plaqad’s Brand;
- Identify relevant areas of interest to target audiences, and create interesting and shareable pieces of content for distribution across multiple media platforms in various formats for Plaqad as well as its clients.
- Undertake regular stakeholders’ segmentation and competitive analysis, develop content for syndication and distribution;
- Undertake end-to-end management of PR activities for Clients and users;
- Facilitate media engagement including print, online and electronic media for all Plaqad and Client Projects and events;

- Experience managing client and account relationships.

- Experience conceiving and writing creatively for various audiences from technical information.
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas in a compelling manner, particular written and verbal skills.
- Detailed knowledge of marketing communications procedures, terms, and best practices.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant technology skills required to prepare presentations and analyze data to construct reports.
- Practical knowledge of marketing and branding principles.
